Timed Analysis 1 - The Woman In Black

0:12 - 0:21 - Close Up shot of an empty tea pot pouring into empty small cups. Eerie music is introduced.
0:22 - 0:25 - Close Up of a childs hand pretending to pouring the contents of the previously seen cups into a dolls mouth.
0:26 - 0:28 - The same shot as the previous, but showing a different china doll.
0:29 - 0:32 - An establishing shot - showing three young girls in a bedroom environment appearing to be playing with their dolls. From their costume, it appears it was set in the 20th century.
0:33-0:35 - Close up of a doll's hair being brushed. Depth of field is used.
0:36-0:37 - Close up of hands tucking another doll into a small bed.
0:38-0:39 - Mid Shot showing two characters (waist upwards) - they are smiling whilst still playing with their dolls.
0:40 - 0:42 - Mid shot of the other girl in the room, also smiling.
0:43 - 0:44 - The camera is placed low to the ground, on the level with the dolls. We can see the hands of the children once again playing with their toys, but this time from a different perspective
0.45 - 0:51 - A high angle shot is used and looks down upon the three girls in the room, making them appear vulnerable. The three girls look directly into the camera as if they have seen something. There is a change of music - which is even more eerie.
0:52-0:54 - A Long shot is shown of the three girls sitting down, encapsulating all of their bodies into the frame. They look around from where they were previously looking to the other side of the room.
0:56 - 0.57 - A Mid shot of the window. The camera zooms incredibly slowly and steadily, and it is almost not noticeable.
0:58-0:59 - Mid shot of the girls staring (assumably out of the window) They begin to get up.
0:59:1:00 - Action match. The camera is now slightly closer to one of the girls who is still standing up.
1:01 - Close Up of the one of the girls feet as her dress rises, indicating that the is still in the process of standing - these shots are in slightly slower motion.
1:02-1:04 - Close Up of one of the girls hands who is holding a cup in it, which she drops at the end of the shot
1:04-1:05 - Action match. Camera is at a low angle and shows a close up of the cup smashing.
1:06 - 1:07 - Close up of two of the girls' feet as they begin to walk towards the window.
1:07 - Extreme close up of a doll's head being stood on
1:08-1:09 - Extreme close up of another doll's head being stood on
1:10 - 1:16 - A mid shot of all three of the girls walking towards the camera whilst it slowly zooms out, ending up outside of the window.
1:17 - 1:20 - Long Shot. The camera reverses and is now behind the girls watching them walk towards the window and step onto the ledge.
1:21 - 1:23 - Close up of a hand opening the latch on the window and then pushing open the window itself.
1:24 - 1:36 - The same shot as previously from the behind of the girls. They stand up on the window itself and in slow motion they jump out, in synchronisation with one another. . At the end of the shot their is another slow, steady zoom out.
1:37 - 1:39 - Close up of one of the dolls faces. Slow zoom out again.
1:40 - 1:43 - a High angle shot is shown of the empty room. Fades to white.
